Celebrations!
Hey, the ENnies have ben announced. First and foremost, I want to send my congratulations to all the winners, many of which have places of honor on my gaming shelf! In particular, thanks to best publishers (Paizo and White Wolf) and to the Lifetime Achievement Award winners (Gary Gygax, Dave Arneson, and Erick Wujcik). As short lists of gaming greats go, not to mention sources I can track a lot of my own fun back to, that's a noteworthy group.
Sadly I couldn't attend Gen Con this year, despite reaaally wanting to, and thus I couldn't be at the ENnies ceremony. I think I've only missed one ENnies ever, and in that one a product I worked on got a silver. Of course this year Star Wars Saga was up for a few... and won three golds and a silver. Wow, you like us, you really like us!
While neither Rodney nor I could be there, and I don't know if Chris or Gary could, for the whole team let me take a moment and thank everyone who voted for us. I'm very proud of my work on Saga, but I'm even prouder that the fans like it as well. That's who really matters, and I hope some fans got to see their nominee take home the prize. Rodney has done a great job shepherding this baby through it's first year of products, and I suspect this is not the last Star Wars ENnie he's going to see!
For the record, we got gold for Best Rules, Best d20/OGL Product, and Best Game, and Silver for Product of the Year.
Best Game?! Rock!
Now, to celebrate, I'm gonna go see Clone Wars!
